ANNAPOLIS, Md.- The Holy Cross men's track and field team competed on day one of the 2026 Patriot League Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by the United States Naval Academy. The Crusaders currently sit in a tie for seventh place with six total points heading into Saturday.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS: 

• Senior Liam Lyons and junior Thomas Speltz qualified for the 1,500m final on Saturday. Lyons placed first in the prelim with a time of 3:48.27 while Speltz finished 10th with a time of 3:52.25.
• Sophomore Josh Gentchos qualified for the 100m dash final, clocking in a time of 10.54 in the prelim.
• Sophomore Jack Larkin ran a personal best time of 30:52.95 to finish ninth in the 10,000m.
• Junior Michael Laflamme and freshman Padraig DeMarr finished eighth and ninth in the hammer throw, tossing 53.67m and 52.46m respectively.
• Freshman Nic Oglesby finished seventh in the long jump with a personal best mark of 6.97m.
• Senior Jack Ryan placed seventh in the javelin with a top throw of 60.90m.
• Juniors Tristan Miller and Logan Mott finished ninth and 10th in the 400m with times of 48.67 and 48.95.
