WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross junior
Kate Avitabile has been selected to the 2026 Academic All-Patriot League women's lacrosse team, as announced by the conference office. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing with at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, and be a starter or key reserve.
Avitabile, who earned first team All-Patriot League honors earlier this week, started all 17 games for the Crusaders at attack this season. The team's leading scorer with 64 points on 11 goals and 53 assists, she broke the school single-season record for assists. Avitabile ranked second in the Patriot League in assists per game (3.12), while standing eighth in points per game (3.76). During her collegiate career, she has now recorded 27 goals and 79 assists for 106 points in 40 games played, ranking third all-time in assists. In the classroom, Avitabile carries a 3.81 cumulative grade point average with a double major in psychology and studio art.
Holy Cross finished the season with an overall record of 7-10, while going 5-4 in Patriot League play and advancing to the Patriot League Tournament for the fourth straight year.
