Jenn Prince will serve as the captains of the 2027 Holy Cross women's lacrosse team, as announced by head coach Amanda Belichick. Brennan, who previously served as a captain in 2026, becomes the 16th multi-year captain in program history.
Avitabile started all 17 games for the Crusaders at attack last year, earning first team All-Patriot League honors. The team's leading scorer with 64 points on 11 goals and 53 assists, she broke the school single-season record for assists. Avitabile ranked second in the Patriot League in assists per game (3.12), while standing eighth in points per game (43.76). During her collegiate career, she has now recorded 27 goals and 79 assists for 106 points in 40 games played, ranking third all-time in assists.
Brennan started all 17 of Holy Cross games last season in the midfield, receiving second team All-Patriot League honors while ranking fourth on the team in scoring with 30 points on 26 goals and four assists. She also stood second on the squad in ground balls (26), draw controls (19) and caused turnovers (13). Over the course of her career with the Crusaders, Brennan has totaled 84 points on 74 goals and 10 assists in 52 games played, to go along with 62 draw controls, 58 ground balls and 24 caused turnovers.
Prince played in all 17 games for the Crusaders in the midfield last year. She ranked sixth on the team in scoring with 19 points on 14 goals and five assists, in addition to posting six ground balls, six draw controls and six caused turnovers. Throughout her collegiate career, Prince has now totaled 16 goals and six assists for 22 points, to go along with 11 ground balls, seven caused turnovers and six draw controls.
The Crusaders are coming off a 2026 campaign in which they went 7-10 overall, while going 5-4 in Patriot League play and advancing to the Patriot League Tournament for the fourth straight year.
