WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross field hockey head coach Kim Cosenza has announced the addition of Emily Sollecito and Nate O'Lari to her coaching staff for the 2026 season.
"We could not be more excited to welcome Emily and Nate to the Holy Cross field hockey program," Cosenza said. "Both were part of the journey to the Sweet 16 at WPI and bring tremendous experience and energy to our staff. Emily's knowledge of the game, confident leadership style, and unwavering support for those around her make her an incredible addition to our program. She is a role model in every facet of life, and her holistic approach to coaching will have a lasting impact on the identity and culture of Holy Cross field hockey."
Sollecito, a native of Watertown, Mass., previously served as a technical skills and strategy coach at WPI, focusing on running film sessions and trainings, with the intent of improving players' decision making, individual skills, and game IQ. Beyond WPI, Sollecito has been a coach with the Cape Ann Field Hockey Club since 2021.
A five-year player and four-year captain at WPI, Sollecito graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering in 2024, and is currently pursuing an MBA with a concentration in Machine Learning from Babson College.
"We are excited to add Nate to our coaching staff," Pothier said. "He will play an integral role in the overall development of this program as we move forward. Nate brings a level of teaching that is hard to match anywhere in the country. Holy Cross field hockey is extremely fortunate to have his time and energy, which will be primarily focused on goalkeeper development and video analysis."
O'Lari, a native of Orange, Mass., competed with the USA Men's National Team from 2013-2018 as a goalkeeper, starting in multiple test series, the Youth Pan American Cup, and the Junior Pan American Cup, earning his first international cap in a matchup with an Olympic-bound Canadian squad.
O'Lari began his coaching career in 2015 with Cape Ann Field Hockey Club, before joining the staffs at Worcester State University and WPI. An accomplished umpire, O'Lari was named to the squads that officiated the 2016 Division III Final Four and the 2023 America East Final.
O'Lari currently resides in Worcester, Mass. with his fiancée and dog.
