Jack Stockfish were named finalists for Atlantic Hockey Individual Awards, the league office announced Thursday. The award winners will be announced on Tuesday, March 17.
Oliphant is a finalist for the Individual Sportsmanship Award, which is given annually to the player who best exemplifies sportsmanship, as voted on by the head coaches in Atlantic Hockey. Oliphant, who is fifth in the nation in average time on ice per game at 25:47 a night, has only committed four penalties this season. Oliphant finished the regular season with a 15 points on five goals and ten assists in all 34 games, tacking on a career-high 41 blocked shots, earning a spot on the All-Atlantic Hockey Second Team for a second-straight season.
Stockfish, the reigning Atlantic Hockey Preseason Player of the Year, is a finalist for Atlantic Hockey Forward of the Year. paced the Crusaders with 31 points on 12 goals and 19 assists in the regular season games, and tallied 25 points on ten goals and 15 assists in 26 league games. Stockfish, who was named to the All-Atlantic Hockey First Team on Tuesday, enters the semifinal round with 35 points on 14 goals and 21 assists, and the second highest mark at the faceoff dot in Atlantic Hockey at 57.8%.
The Crusaders travel to Bentley on Friday, March 13 at 7 p.m. for game one of the best-of-three Atlantic Hockey Semifinal Round.
