#14 Holy Cross hits the road to face Merrimack & Providence

The 14th-ranked Holy Cross women's ice hockey team will be back in action this weekend with a pair of road games. The Crusaders will travel to Merrimack on Friday, Feb. 13, at 2 p.m., before heading to Providence on Saturday, Feb. 14, at 1 p.m. Both contests will be shown live on ESPN+.

Holy Cross owns an overall record of 18-10-2 with a 10-9-2 mark in Hockey East play. The Crusaders have set a school single-season record with their 10 Hockey East victories and have been nationally ranked in the USCHO poll for four straight weeks. Freshman forward Violet Carroll currently leads the team in scoring with 24 points on nine goals and 15 assists. Senior forward Alexia Moreau has added 11 goals and eight assists for 19 points, while junior forward Emily Crovo and senior forward Lane Lewis both have 17 points on five goals and 12 assists. In net, senior goaltender Abby Hornung stands 11-7-1 this season with a 1.54 goals against average and a .942 save percentage. 

Merrimack stands 6-21-3 overall and 3-16-1 in Hockey East. Junior forward Emma Pfeffer leads the team in scoring with 10 goals and 10 assists for 20 points, while senior forward Avery Anderson has added 15 points on five goals and 10 assists. In net, sophomore goaltender Adreanna Doucette stands 4-12-2 with a 2.64 goals against average and a .923 save percentage.

Providence enters the week with an overall record of 9-19-2 and a 6-12-2 mark in Hockey East. Senior forward Reichen Kirchmair leads the team in scoring with 11 goals and 11 assists for 22 points, while junior forward Audrey Knapp has 20 points on seven goals and 13 assists. Senior goaltender Hope Walinski owns a 9-19-2 record with a 2.91 goals against average and a .907 save percentage.

After the games with Merrimack and Providence, Holy Cross will conclude the regular season at home against Vermont on Friday, Feb. 20.
