BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Ester Mokonchu and junior Bridget Sachs both posted second-place finishes to lead the efforts for the Holy Cross women's track & field team on Friday at the John Thomas Terrier Classic hosted by Boston University.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS:

• Sachs took second in the pole vault with a mark of 3.81m as she competed in a jump off against UConn's Rachel Mason.
• Mokonchu added a second-place finish in the weight throw with a personal-best mark of 17.29m, surpassing her previous best of 17.13m that had been set at the Brown Invitational on Feb. 22, 2025 and is the fourth-best in the Patriot League this season.
• Sophomore Lily Deforge took sixth in the shot put at 13.01m and freshman Maddie Goncalves finished seventh with a personal-best mark of 12.86m.
• The duo of sophomore Victoria McGowan finished in 11^th place in the triple jump at 11.01m and freshman Frankie Spagna placed 12^th with a mark of 10.97m.
• On the track, fellow sophomore Abby Desmarais finished sixth in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.74 seconds.
• Freshman Elle Grant posted a personal-best time of 9.21 seconds as she took 11^th place in the 60 meter hurdles.

UP NEXT:

• The Crusaders will compete at the River Hawk Invitational hosted by UMass Lowell on Friday, Feb. 6 with action slated to get underway at 9 a.m.
