WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior
Jack Greiner placed first in three individual events, to lead the Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team to a 198-102 victory over Connecticut College at the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex. Crusaders improve to 4-2 on the year with the win, while the Camels fall to 6-1 overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Greiner posted first-place finishes in the 200-yard butterfly (1:51.81), the 200-yard backstroke (1:54.35) and the 200-yard individual medley (1:52.94).
• Sophomore
Griffin Casey won both the one-meter diving (287.40) and the three-meter diving (319.50).
• Other Crusaders to win individual events included junior
Will Clark (50-yard freestyle / 21.73), junior
Austin Cutcher (1,000-yard freestyle / 9:50.00), sophomore
Peter Mottolese (100-yard freestyle / 47.51), freshman
Ethan Steichen (100-yard backstroke / 52.78 ) and freshman
Andrew Villani (100-yard butterfly / 51.70).
• The 200-yard medley relay team of Greiner, senior
Zach Bubonovich, Villani and Clark broke the Hart Center Pool record with their first-place time of 1:32.70.
• The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Mottolese, Clark, sophomore
Luca Sgaramella and junior
Jake Thompson also placed first (3:11.20).
SENIOR DAY:
• Prior to the meet, eight senior members of the program who will be concluding their collegiate careers at the end of the 2025-2026 season were honored in a special ceremony.
