Hamm, Zilora named Academic All-District

WORCESTER, Mass. – Seniors Maddie Hamm and Ashley Zilora of the Holy Cross women's tennis team have been selected to the 2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team.

In order to qualify for the CSC Academic All-District Team eligible nominees must have a 3.50 GPA or higher, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and must be in the lineup for 75 percent of an institution's days of competition (regional competition such as ITAs and non-team scored events do not count). 

This is the second time Hamm and Zilora have earned CSC honors.

Hamm, a political science major posted a 3.87 GPA. She recorded a 5-14 record in singles play this year playing mainly at No. 4. In doubles play, Hamm was 7-13 overall including a 4-6 mark at No. 3. In the Patriot League Tournament First Round upset over Lafayette on April 16, Hamm earned a big win at No. 4 singles putting the team down one. Over her four year career, Hamm recorded a 17-35 overall mark in singles play and 15-35 record in doubles.

Zilora, a biology major recorded a 3.87 GPA. She finished 2025-26 with a 6-12 mark in singles play with most of her action coming at No. 5 which tied for the second most wins on the team. Her eight double wins established a new single-season career best. She recorded the match clinching point in the 4-3 Crusader upset of #8 Lafayette in the 2026 Patriot League Tournament First Round giving the Crusaders its first Patriot League Tournament win since 2016. She finished her career with a 20-28 mark in singles play and 14-41 record in doubles.

The 2026 Academic All-District® Tennis teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Holy Cross finished the 2025-26 season with a 4-16 record.
