WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross head women's lacrosse coach
Amanda Belichick has been elected to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Board of Directors, as announced by IWLCA President Kelly Gallagher. She will begin her term of service on July 1, 2025.
Belichick was elected to the Board of Directors as a Division I representative. In addition to her coaching duties with the Crusaders, she is the chair of the IWLCA's Rules, Safety and Game Administration committee, working closely with both the CWLOA and the NCAA Rules Committee.
Belichick has served as Holy Cross' head coach for the last 10 years, and has led her squad to two straight winning seasons and two consecutive trips to the Patriot League semifinals. She was named the Patriot League Coach of the Year in 2024, after the Crusaders tied the school single-season record for the most conference victories (six) and posted the fourth-most overall wins (12) in program history.
The IWLCA re-structured the Board of Directors in 2017 in order to balance Divisional representation. This structure includes the four officers comprising the Executive Committee, as well as three representatives from each NCAA Division and one representing the NAIA. The recent update of the IWLCA Bylaws included the addition of the two Diversity, Equity & Inclusion representatives. Each regular term on the Board of Directors is three years, though from time to time, the term length is shorter when a special election is held to fill an unexpected vacancy.
