Men’s rowing qualifies for IRA National Championships

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's rowing team earned an at-large bid for the IRA National Championship, held May 30 – June 1 on the Cooper River in Camden, N.J.

The Crusaders' varsity eight has had a successful 2024-25 campaign. In the fall, the group medaled at the Head of the Charles, won the Wormtown Chase, and placed ninth at the Princeton Chase. In the spring, it defeated the likes of MIT, Georgetown, Drexel, Hobart, and Marist.

Holy Cross is one of just 24 programs to earn a spot in the heavyweight racing for the National Championship. The last time the Crusaders qualified was in the spring of 2015. (Holy Cross participated in the event in 2021, when it was formatted as an open championship due to COVID restrictions.)
