Wade Johnson will serve as the captains of the 2025 Holy Cross men's soccer team, as announced by head coach
Matt Brown.
Beban earned third team All-Patriot League honors last season, after starting all 18 of the Crusaders' games and ranking first on the team with 1,549 minutes played. He led a defensive unit that allowed just 1.22 goals per game with four shutouts, in addition to standing fourth on the team in scoring with five points on one goal and three assists. A three-time selection to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, Beban has now played in 46 career games with 38 starts, totaling 3,355 minutes of action.
Cull appeared in all 18 of Holy Cross' games last season, starting 12 times and totaling 966 minutes played. He tallied three assists on the year, tied for the second-most on the team, including a pair of assists on game-winning goals. Cull was also selected to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in 2023.
Johnson joined the Crusaders as a transfer in January, after playing the previous two seasons at Colgate. He saw action in 24 career games for the Raiders with 10 starts, totaling four points on one goal and two assists in 885 minutes of play. Johnson is also a two-time selection to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
The Crusaders are tentatively scheduled to open the 2025 season on Thursday, Aug. 21.
