Four from women’s tennis named Academic All-District

WORCESTER, Mass. – Four members of the Holy Cross women's tennis team have been selected to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District squad. Senior Caroline Carlson, senior Caroline Fredey, junior Maddie Hamm and senior Ahana Nagarkatti were the Crusaders to be honored. Both Carlson and Nagarkatti were named to the squad for the third straight year, while Fredey was recognized for the second time.

Carlson went 2-13 in singles action this season, seeing the majority of her action at the No. 1 spot. She also posted a 3-13 record in doubles, playing mainly at the No. 1 position. Over the course of her Holy Cross career, Carlson went 10-27 in singles and 14-38 in doubles. In the classroom, she owns a cumulative grade point average of 3.83 with a major in Neuroscience.

Fredey had a 1-11 mark in singles this year, while spending most of the season at the No. 4 position. She also posted a 2-11 record in doubles, playing mainly at No. 1. During her career with the Crusaders, Fredey had marks of 14-38 in singles and 10-28 in doubles. In the classroom, she carries a cumulative grade point average of 3.65 with a major in Psychology.

Hamm posted a 3-12 singles record this year, playing mainly at the No. 2 spot. She also went 5-13 in doubles, seeing most of her action at the No. 2 position. Over the course of her Holy Cross career, Hamm owns a 12-21 record in singles and an 8-22 mark in doubles. In the classroom, she carries a 3.85 cumulative grade point average with a major in Political Science.

Nagarkatti played No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 singles for Holy Cross, posting an overall record of 4-8. In doubles, she played mainly at the No. 2 position with a mark of 2-8. Throughout her collegiate career, Nagarkatti went 18-32 in singles and 15-40 in doubles. In the classroom, she owns a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 with a major in Spanish.

Holy Cross finished the 2024-2025 season with an overall record of 3-12.
