WORCESTER, Mass.
— The Holy Cross women's tennis team dominated non-conference opponent Merrimack winning by a 6-1 score on Senior Day Friday afternoon at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility.
The win improves the Crusaders to 3-13 overall while the loss sends the Warriors to 2-14. Holy Cross last played Merrimack on April 19, 2023, and fell by a 6-1 margin in their last meeting.
The program honored seniors
Maddie Hamm and
Ashley Zilora for their contributions to the program in a prematch ceremony.
DOUBLES ACTION:
SINGLES PLAY:
- The Crusaders brought home five of six singles matches for the commanding win.
- Devine at No. 1 (7-6, 6-7, 10-8), Flynn at No. 2 (6-3, 6-1), Hamm at No. 3 (3-0, Injury) and Zilora at No. 4 (3-6, 6-3, 6-4) all won for the second time.
- Freshman Cadie Sauter shutout her foe at No. 6 (6-0, 6-0).

- The Crusaders are back in Patriot League action when they travel to Loyola (Md.) (2-11, 2-3 PL) on Sunday, April 12 at noon.
