Holy Cross defeated by Loyola

WEST POINT, N.Y. — The Holy Cross women's tennis team was defeated by Loyola (Md.) 4-0 at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center. The Crusaders fall to 2-7 on the season, while the Greyhounds improve to 10-0 overall.

DOUBLES ACTION:
• Loyola picked up wins at both the No. 2 and No. 3 spots to claim the doubles point.

SINGLES PLAY:
• The Greyhounds then earned straight-set victories in the No. 2, No. 4 and No. 6 singles matches to finish the day.
• At No. 1 singles, senior Caroline Carlson was locked in a close match with Christine Richiez (4-6, 3-2), before play was halted after the overall outcome had been determined.

NEXT UP:
• Holy Cross will return to action on Saturday, March 22, when it faces Lafayette at 5 p.m. in West Point, N.Y.
