WORCESTER, Mass. — The Holy Cross women's tennis team dropped a pair of contests falling 7-0 to NJIT and 6-1 to Monmouth during spring break.

Holy Cross slides to 2-7 on the year with the losses

NJIT DOUBLES ACTION:

• A pair of victories in doubles play for NJIT earned them the doubles point.
• Freshmen Phoebe Devine and Margaret Winiecki earned a win at No. 1 doubles winning by a 6-3 score.

NJIT SINGLES PLAY:

• NJIT earned all singles points for the win.

MONMOUTH DOUBLES ACTION:

• Monmouth won at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to go ahead 1-0 in the match.
• Devine and Winiecki again were victorious at No. 1 doubles earning a 6-3 win.

MONMOUTH SINGLES PLAY:

• Senior Ashley Ziloira was the lone victory in singles play winning 6-2, 3-6, 7-5.

NEXT UP:

• The Crusaders open Patriot League action on Saturday, March 14 against Colgate (4-6, 0-2 PL) at noon.
