NEWPORT, R.I. — Senior
Caroline Carlson won her matches at both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles, to lead the Holy Cross women's tennis team to a 6-1 victory over Salve Regina at the International Tennis Hall of Fame. The Crusaders improve to 2-4 on the season with the win, while the Seahawks fall to 2-4 on the year.
DOUBLES ACTION:
• Holy Cross picked up wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots to claim the doubles point.
• At No. 1, Carlson and senior
Jasmine Rahman downed Stephanie Davis and Kaydin Pinto 6-1.
• Junior
Maddie Hamm and sophomore
Alison Lynn added a 6-1 win over Madigan Murphy and Sadie Rieg at No. 2.
SINGLES PLAY:
• Holy Cross earned wins at the top five positions to capture the overall victory.
• Carlson downed Pinto 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1.
• Hamm posted a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Davis at No. 2.
• Rahman defeated Murphy 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3.
• Lynn recorded a 6-3, 6-1 win over Rieg at No. 4.

Ava Lannigan added a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Natalia Vega at No. 5.
