NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — The Holy Cross men's golf team competed at The Surf Club Invitational hosted by Appalachian State at The Surf Club. The team finished in a shared 11th place overall with play concluding on Tuesday, Mar. 11.
Sophomore Alex Elia was Holy Cross's top finisher coming in a shared 41st place after firing a 73 on day one and a 75 on the final day of play for a 148 (+6) performance.
After two rounds of the 36-hole course, the Crusaders finished with a score of 596 (+28) as a team.
COACH'S CORNER:
- "We wrapped up a seven-day trip at The Surf Club Invitation tournament in Myrtle Beach this afternoon," said Director of Golf Steve Napoli. "The tournament was shortened to 36 holes due to inclement weather. Our men played very well in yesterday's first round, and mediocre today."
