AMHERST, Mass. — The Holy Cross women's tennis team opened its spring season by falling to Massachusetts 6-1 at the Bay Road Tennis Center. The Crusaders fall to 1-4 on the year, while the Minutewomen improve to 3-1 overall.

DOUBLES ACTION:
• UMass began the day by sweeping all three matches to take the doubles point.

SINGLES PLAY:
• The Minutewomen posted wins in the No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 singles matches to claim the overall victory.
• Sophomore Alison Lynn earned Holy Cross' only win of the day, defeating Trinity Calinescu at No. 6 singles in a walkover.

NEXT UP:
• The Crusaders will return to action in March.
