The Holy Cross women's basketball team looks for a third straight win as UMass Lowell comes to the Hart Center Arena for a non-conference matchup on Sunday, Dec. 21. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+.

THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT HOLY CROSS (5-5, 0-0 Patriot League):
- Senior captain Kaitlyn Flanagan hit a go-ahead layup with 0:31 left and the Crusaders rallied for a 46-45 victory over Vermont on Tuesday in the program's annual Field Trip game presented by Polar Beverages.
- Holy Cross trailed 43-37 with 5:59 to play in the fourth quarter before closing the game on a 9-2 run as they limited the Catamounts to just two points over the final 5:59.
- Following Flanagan's clutch layup, Vermont's Nikola Priede missed a turnaround jumper in the paint as time expired to seal the victory for the Crusaders.
- Senior Mary-Elizabeth Donnelly led the way for Holy Cross with nine points and a season-high 10 rebounds in the victory, while Flanagan and fellow senior Simone Foreman added eight points apiece.
- Foreman also collected 10 boards for her third double-digit rebounding effort of the season and the Washington, D.C., native ranks third in the Patriot League at 9.0 rebounds per game.
- As a team, the Crusaders lead the conference in defensive rebounding at 27.5 drpg and rank second in combined team rebounds at 36.6 rpg.
- Junior Kendall Eddy added three points, seven rebounds, three assists and a steal in Tuesday's win over Vermont. Her seven rebounds matched a career-high that had been set at Marist on Nov. 16 of this season.
- Holy Cross has held each of their last five opponents under 65 points including 50 or less in three of their last four games.
- The Crusaders are a perfect 3-0 against America East foes in 2025-26 with wins over UNH (64-45, Nov. 30), Bryant (53-41, Dec. 7) and the aforementioned victory over the Catamounts.
- Sunday marks the final non-conference game of the season with Patriot League play set to begin on Dec. 31.
READING UP ON THE RIVER HAWKS (5-6, 0-0 America East):
- UMass Lowell most recently defeated LIU in a 73-72 overtime victory on Dec. 14 behind a career-best 26 points and 10 rebounds from Jaini Edmonds. The game featured 10 ties and nine lead changes.
- The double-double marked the first of Edmonds' career who leads the team in scoring at 12.5 ppg. As a whole, four different players average 8.5 ppg or more for the River Hawks including Paris Gilmore (9.2 ppg) and Maddie Rice (8.6 ppg).
- Rice and Tyanna Medina added 11 points apiece in the victory over LIU.
- Klimentina Modeva is the team's top rebounder at 6.4 rpg and shoots 65.7% (23-of-35) from the field in eight games (five starts) on the season.
- The River Hawks are 3-2 in their last five games after dropping three straight and four out of five from Nov. 9-25.
LAST TIME THEY MET:
- Holy Cross notched a 61-49 victory at UMass Lowell on Nov. 9, 2024 behind four players in double figures including a 13-point, 11-rebound effort from Foreman.
- The Crusaders have won six straight matchups in the series dating back to the 2016-17 campaign and hold a 12-3 advantage all-time.
