The Holy Cross men's basketball team finally returns home to the friendly confines of the Hart Center Arena to open their home schedule against nonconference foe Siena on Monday Nov. 24 at 6 p.m. before welcoming Worcester State on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. Both contests will stream live on ESPN+ with Kevin Gehl (play-by-play) and Jacob VanRyn (analyst) on the call.
The home opener against Siena will be a white out game, fans are encouraged to wear white and the first 150 Holy Cross students will receive a white tee shirt. Versus Worcester State, Fans who wish to attend the game can bring
two or more food items to benefit the Worcester East Food Pantry. After you make the
two or more food items donation, you will receive a
free ticket to the Holy Cross vs. Worcester State game and be entered to win courtside seats to an upcoming Holy Cross men's basketball game.
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT HOLY CROSS (1-5, 0-0 PL):
- Holy Cross heads back home following a season opening six game road swing and a 79-66 setback to Sacred Heart Friday evening in Fairfield, Conn. Sophomore guard Tyler Boston scored a game-high 22 points shooting 70 percent (7-for-10) from the field and 57.1 percent (4-for-7) from deep with five assists. Juniors Joe Nugent and Will Aljancic chipped in 12 points apiece as well.
- Nugent has 158 career three-pointers and needs one more three-pointer to move to fifth place on the program's all-time list to pass Austin Butler (158, 2017-21) Nugent needs 65 more triples to become the program's all-time leader in three-pointers.
- Holy Cross and Worcester State Athletics have announced a food drive to benefit the Worcester East Food Pantry on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. Fans who make the two or more food items donation, will receive a free ticket to the Holy Cross vs. Worcester State game and be entered to win courtside seats to an upcoming Holy Cross men's basketball game.
- Holy Cross moved from 341st to 343rd in the 2026 Pomeroy College Basketball Ratings following losses over Brown and Sacred Heart. They rank 322nd (99.2) in offensive rating and 344th (115.4) in defensive rating. KenPom has Holy Cross facing the 36th toughest nonconference schedule in the nation.
SCOUTING THE SAINTS (3-2, 0-0 MAAC):
- Siena earned a 73-63 win over UAlbany in the Albany Cup on Friday. Tasman Goodrick had a 19 point and 10 rebound double-double shooting 80.0 percent (8-for-10) from the field with two assists and a block.
- The Saints are one of the most disciplined teams in the NCAA ranking 11th in the nation in fouls per game (13.6). They also are second in the MAAC and 37th in the nation in free throw percentage (77.9) and second in the conference and 48th in the country in scoring defense (64.4)
- Siena was selected for a second place finish in the 2025 MAAC Men's Basketball Preseason Coaches' Poll collecting three first place votes. Justice Shoats (First Team) and Gavin Doty (Second Team) earned Preseason All-MAAC Honors.
- The Saints rank 163rd in the 2026 Pomeroy College Basketball Ratings ranking 190th (106.0) in offensive rating and 167th (107.5) in defensive rating.
LAST TIME THEY MET:
- Holy Cross is 7-13 (.350) in the series history against Siena which began in 1990.
- In their last meeting, the Crusaders earned a 78-70 win on the road on Dec. 20, 2024. Then-sophomore Joe Nugent scored a game-high 20 points on 60 percent (6-of-10) shooting going 6-for-9 (66.7 percent) from deep.
THE LANCERS AT A GLANCE (1-3, 0-0 MASCAC):
- Worcester State has not played since Nov. 14 and is coming off an 81-73 loss in their home opener against WPI. Rayan Sablon scored a game-high 24 points with four rebounds in 31 minutes off the bench.
- Joe Okla was named the MASCAC Rookie of the Week for the second time this season on Nov. 17. Okla averaged 18.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists for the Lancers leading to top rookie honors.
- Worcester State was selected for a third place finish in the 2025-26 MASCAC Preseason Coaches Poll.
