WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team picked up a 179-121 victory on Senior Day against nonconference opponent Sacred Hart Saturday afternoon.
The win levels the Crusaders' mark to 3-3 on the campaign while Sacred Heart falls to 7-5 overall.
Freshman diver
Brenna Short placed first on the one-meter board (279.75) and three-meter board (303.15). Her three-meter dive score mark established a new pool record.

Nora Smillie began competition with first place at 1:49.17.
Junior
Ainsley Nalen brought home first in the 1,000-yard freestyle at 10:42.98. It was one of two first place finishes for Nalen as she also placed first in the 200-yard backstroke (2:07.72). Sophomore
Courtney Boghosian (2:09.03) and senior
Ginger Berry (2:11.37) followed Nalen in the backstroke event.
Sophomores
Devin Brindle and
Kat Anticev finished 1-2 in the 200-yard freestyle with 1:59.17 and 1:59.82 times. Brindle also hit the wall first in the 100-yard freestyle (54.43).
Arciniegas (59.39), freshman
Ellie Reinhart (1:00.44) and senior
Caroline Mahoney earned podium finishes in the 100-yard backstroke. In the 50-yard freestyle, Smillie (24.95) and Nalen (25.14) posted first and second place showings.
Senior
Emmy Mazzacano rounded out her home meet career with first place in the 400-yard individual medley (4:45.57).
Holy Cross will be back in action for the Patriot League Championship on Feb. 19 to Feb. 22 hosted by Bucknell in Lewisburg, Pa.
