BOSTON, Mass.— The Holy Cross women's track and field teams competed at the Riverhawk Invitational hosted by UMass-Lowell at The TRACK at New Balance on Saturday, Jan. 25.

WOMEN'S MEET HIGHLIGHTS:

• Senior captain Abby Hughes won the 1000m run (2:50.46).
• Senior captain Haley Murphy clinched third in the 500m run (1:15.80).
• Senior Ella Grey claimed third in the 60m hurdles final (8.75) followed by junior Celia Kulis (8.78, fourth). 
• Freshman Stephanie Cesar took third in the 400m dash open (1:02.74).
• Freshman Abby Desmarais placed fifth in the 60m dash final (7.75) and junior Giavanna Ciaravino came in sixth (7.90) in the event.
• Freshman Danielle DiEsso came in fifth in the 200m dash open (25.80). Sophomore Lindsay Gill also competed in the event (25.80, sixth).
• Junior captain Alex Lusby finished sixth in the 800m run  (2:13.75).
• The 4x400m relay team including DiEsso, Murphy, Gill and Lusby clinched second with a time of 3:53.63.

NEXT UP:

• The Holy Cross track and field teams will head to Boston, Mass. to compete at Showdown at The Heights hosted by Boston College at the TRACK at New Balance from Feb. 7 through 8.
