Alison Lynn both won their singles matches, but the Holy Cross women's tennis team was defeated by Southern New Hampshire 5-2 at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility. The Crusaders open the season at 0-1, while the Penmen begin the year at 1-0.
DOUBLES ACTION:
• Southern New Hampshire swept all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point.
SINGLES PLAY:
• Nagarkatti posted a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Justina Haver at the No. 1 position.
• Lynn downed Katelyn Nichols 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 6 spot.
• The Penmen won the remaining four singles matches to claim the overall victory.
NEXT UP:
• Holy Cross returns to action on Friday, Sept. 20, when it plays host to Endicott at 4 p.m.
