COLORADO SPRING, Colo. — Holy Cross men's golf team opened its season at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational hosted by the U.S. Air Force Academy held at the Eisenhower Golf Course. The team finished 21st place overall with play concluding on Monday, Sept. 23.
Senior captain Owen Egan was Holy Cross's top finisher coming in a shared 60th place after firing a 76 on day one and a 73 on day two. On the final day of play, he shot a 76 for a 225 (+9) performance.
After three rounds of the 54-hole course, the Crusaders finished with a score of 915 (+51) as a team.

- "The Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational at the US Air Force Academy included a number of colleges from Texas, California and the western part of our country. The tournament was a big step up in competition for the team," said director of golf Steve Napoli. "Though we did not play to our ability, it was great to get our fall season underway and the team is looking forward to the UCONN Invitational next week at GreatHorse."
