WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross Athletics and the ASM Global managed DCU Center are pleased to announce they have teamed up to bring college ice hockey to the DCU Center this fall. The game will take place in downtown Worcester on Saturday, November 2, at 7 p.m., when the Holy Cross Crusaders host national powerhouse and 2023 National Champion, the Quinnipiac Bobcats, in a non-conference matchup.
"This game will be an incredible opportunity for the Greater Worcester community to come out and see some of the best that collegiate ice hockey has to offer," Holy Cross Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Kit Hughes said. "We look forward to filling the DCU Center and creating an exciting atmosphere for our fans both in and out of Central Massachusetts. The game represents a unique opportunity for our student-athletes, as well as a chance for the College to deepen our relationship with the city we call home."
"The College of the Holy Cross is an integral partner of the facility bringing both Division I Collegiate basketball and hockey to the venue, and also serving as host school at the DCU Center for the NCAA's Division I Men's Ice Hockey Championship taking place in March of 2025," said General Manager of the DCU Center, Sandy Dunn. "Hosting the game at the DCU Center is sure to provide a dynamic and engaging environment for Crusader and Bobcat hockey aficionados and is sure to be a highlight for players, coaches, fans, and the community."
Quinnipiac finished the 2023-24 season ranked sixth in the nation with a 27-10-2 record, reaching the NCAA East Regional Championship game. Holy Cross finished the year with a 21-14-4 record, earning home ice for the first two rounds of the Atlantic Hockey tournament, and posting their first 20-win campaign since the 2012-13 season.

Holy Cross stands 3-3 all-time in men's ice hockey games at the DCU Center, with the most recent contest coming on October 9, 2021, against Boston College.
Presale for Holy Cross and DCU Center insiders begin Thursday, August 8 at 11 a.m. The on-sale for the general public will begin on Thursday, August 15 at 10 a.m. Tickets will be available to purchase in-person at the the DCU Center Box Office and online at ticketmaster.com. Ticket prices range from $35 (Limited VIP), $29, and $24. All tickets are subject to additional fees. Discounts will be available for children, Veterans, and groups of 15 or more.
