WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross men's hockey team had 17 student-athletes named to the 2023-24 Atlantic Hockey All-Academic Team, as announced by the league on Thursday.
The Crusader's list was highlight by senior forward
Lucas Thorne and defenseman
Jake Higgins, who appeared for the fourth time in their careers.
Five athletes made their third appearance on the Academic Team in senior forwards
Alec Cicero and
Jack Ricketts, senior defenseman
Jack Robilotti, junior defenseman
Matt Shatsky, and junior goaltender
Thomas Gale. Senior forward
Tyler Ghirardosi, sophomore forwards
Jack Seymour and
Joe Solimine, and sophomore defenseman
Charlie Spence were named to the team for the second time. The six Crusaders named for the first time in their career were senior forward
Matt Guerra, junior defenseman
Nic Petruolo, sophomore forward
Devin Phillips, sophomore goaltender
Louden Hogg, and freshman defensemen
Will Elias and
Will Troutwine.
The Atlantic Hockey All-Academic Team honors those student-athletes who posted a GPA of 3.0 or above for both semesters of the 2023-24 academic year. A total of 246 student-athletes were named to the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic Team.
