WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross men's ice hockey senior defenseman
Mack Oliphant signed an amateur tryout (ATO) with the San Jose Barracuda, the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the San Jose Sharks.
Oliphant, who skated in all 38 games for the Crusaders this season, ranked fourth in the nation with an average of 26 minutes of play a game, recording 17 points on a career-high 5 goals and 12 assists, earning All-Atlantic Hockey Second Team honors.
Oliphant entered the Holy Cross record books as having played the most career games as a Crusader at 153 games. He finished his career with 68 points on 12 goals and 56 assists. His 26 assists in the 2024-25 season broke the single season record for assists by a defenseman, while his 29 points in the campaign tied for second all-time, and his career 68 points and 56 assists rank third in each category all-time.
