FAIRFAX, Va. - The no. 22 Holy Cross men's rowing team travelled to the Occoquan Invitational on the Occoquan Reservoir for its second race of the spring season. Joining the Crusaders were no. 12 Navy, no. 17 Georgetown, no. 19 Drexel, no. 25 Gonzaga, Hobart, Jacksonville, Marietta, and Saint Joseph's.
 
HEAT RESULTS:

• The varsity eight+ finished in first in its heat with a time of 6:03.66, three seconds ahead of no. 25 Gonzaga and seven seconds ahead of Hobart.
• The second varsity eight+ finished first in their heat with a time of 6:02.66.
• The third varsity eight+ finished second in its heat with a time of 6:13.4, just behind Navy and ahead of Jacksonville.
• The fourth varsity eight+ finished in fourth in their heat with a time of 6:33.32.

FINALS RESULTS:

• The varsity eight+ finished in fourth in the grand final with a time of 5:54.04.
• The second varsity eight+ finished in fourth in the grand final with a time of 6:03.63.
• The third varsity eight+ finished in fourth in the grand final with a time of 6:10.62.
• The fourth varsity eight+ finished in fourth in the grand final with a time of 6:31.96.

WHAT'S NEXT:

• Men's rowing will return home to Lake Quinsigamond on Saturday, April 20, for the Holy Cross Invitational.
