Holy Cross drops Turnpike Trophy match with Boston University

BOSTON, Mass. — The Holy Cross women's tennis team was defeated by Boston University 4-0 at the Case Tennis Courts. The Crusaders fall to 1-10 on the season, while the Terriers improve to 10-7 overall.

DOUBLES ACTION:
• Boston University began the day with wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots to take the doubles point.

SINGLES PLAY:
• The Terriers then posted wins at the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 singles positions to finish the day.

THE TURNPIKE TROPHY:
• Throughout the 2023-2024 academic year, Holy Cross and Boston University will be competing for the Turnpike Trophy.
• This athletic series between the in-state Patriot League rivals awards points for all head-to-head victories in both the regular season and postseason, with the Turnpike Trophy going to the school which accumulates the most points at the end of the year.
• Following today's match, the Terriers hold a 9-7 lead in this year's competition.

NEXT UP:
• The Crusaders will return to action on Saturday, April 6, when they play host to Binghamton at 3:30 p.m.
