WEST POINT, N.Y. — The Holy Cross women's tennis team was defeated by Army West Point 4-0 at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center. The Crusaders fall to 1-7 on the season, while the Black Knights improve to 13-7 overall.
DOUBLES ACTION:
• Army began the day with wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots to take the doubles point.
SINGLES PLAY:
• The Black Knights posted wins at the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 6 singles positions to finish the day.
• At No. 1 singles, junior
Ahana Nagarkatti held a 6-5 lead over Julia Kelly in the first set, before play was stopped once the overall result had been determined.
NEXT UP:
• The Crusaders will return to action on Saturday, March 23, when they face Loyola (Md.) at 6 p.m. in West Point, N.Y.
