WORCESTER, Mass – Four Holy Cross men's hockey student-athletes earned spots on the All-Atlantic Hockey postseason teams, the league offices announced on Tuesday.
Junior forward
Liam McLinskey was named to the All-Atlantic Hockey First Team, while senior forward
Jack Ricketts and senior netminder
Jason Grande earned spots on the Second Team. Freshman forward
Jack Stockfish was named to the Atlantic Hockey All-Rookie Team.
McLinskey paced the Crusaders and the league in Atlantic Hockey regular season play with 31 points. His 20 assists were the most for the Crusaders and the second-most in the AHA. Overall, McLinskey's 44 points, 1.22 points per game, 0.78 assists per game, and +24 rating lead the league. McLinskey becomes the first First Team selection for the Crusaders since the 2018 season.
Ricketts was a staple for the Crusaders, playing all 26 Atlantic Hockey games this season, finishing with 22 points on 12 goals and 10 assists. On special teams, Ricketts paced the Crusaders with five power play goals in league play and helped Holy Cross to an 85.8% penalty kill. Overall, Ricketts' 19 goals are tied for the Atlantic Hockey lead, his four game-winning goals are second in the league, his 0.53 goals per game are third overall, and his 34 points tie him for seventh in the league. This is Ricketts' second selection to the Second Team.
Grande played in 11 Atlantic Hockey games for the Crusaders this season, posting a 2.20 goals-against average and .926 save percentage in league play. Overall, Grande's 2.01 goals-against and .930 save percentage lead the Crusaders, Atlantic Hockey, and are the fifth and third best marks in the nation, respectively. This is Grande's first Second Team selection of his career, and he becomes the first Crusader netminder named to an All-Atlantic Hockey team since 2018.
Stockfish becomes the tenth Crusader to be named to the Atlantic Hockey All-Rookie team following a freshman campaign that saw him post 23 points on nine goals and 14 assists in 29 games. In the 20 Atlantic Hockey games that Stockfish played, he was fourth on the team in points with 18, and third in assists with 13.
