The Holy Cross men's basketball team will be back on the court this Friday, Dec. 20, when it travels to Siena for a 7 p.m. game. The contest between the Crusaders and the Saints will be shown live on ESPN+.
Holy Cross owns an overall record of 6-5 so far this year, and is coming off a 70-69 victory over Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference preseason favorite Quinnipiac on Tuesday night. Freshman guard
Max Green leads the team by averaging 13.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game, while hitting 39.3 percent of his three-point attempts. Sophomore forward
Joe Nugent has added 11.4 points and 4.7 rebounds per contest, while senior forward
Caleb Kenney is chipping in with 10.2 points, 3.7 boards and 1.2 blocks per game.
Siena stands 5-6 overall this season, including a 1-1 mark in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Junior guard Major Freeman has led the team by averaging 14.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game, while hitting 36.5 percent of his three-pointers. Junior guard Justice Shoats has put up 13.5 points, 3.2 assists and 2.9 rebounds per contest, with junior forward Brendan Coyle adding 11.8 points and 4.4 boards per game.Â
After the contest with Siena, Holy Cross will take nine days off for Christmas before returning to action with a home game against Regis on Sunday, Dec. 29, at 2 p.m.
