KINGSTON, R.I. – The Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team finished in third place at the Harold Anderson Invitational which wrapped up Sunday at the Tootell Aquatic Center on the campus of Rhode Island.
Holy Cross earned 503 points improving their standing from last year's invite from fifth to third. Vermont (877) took home first while host Rhode Island finished second (842).
Both men's and women's teams set 32 lifetime bests during the meet. The women also had 31 times added to the top-20 in program history this weekend.
On Sunday, junior
Ainsley Nalen finished second in the 200-yard backstroke at 2:02.64. Sophomore
Kat Anticev finished fourth in the 1,650-freestyle with a time of 17:31.74. Classmate
Devin Brindle placed fourth in the 100-yard freestyle (52.10).
The Crusaders will be back in action in the new year when they battle Patriot League opponent Colgate (2-3, 1-1 PL) in a dual meet on Jan. 17, 2025 at noon in the Hart Center Pool.
