The Holy Cross men's basketball team hits the road this weekend, traveling to Maine for a 12 p.m. game on Sunday, Nov. 24. The contest between the Crusaders and the Black Bears will be shown live on ESPN+.
Holy Cross stands 4-2 so far this season and is on a four-game winning streak. That includes claiming the title at the College Hill Classic with victories over Sacred Heart (82-75), Brown (73-65) and New Hampshire (74-72). Freshman guard
Max Green leads the team by averaging 14.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, while hitting 42.4 percent of his three-point attempts. Sophomore forward
Joe Nugent has added 11.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per contest, while senior forward
Caleb Kenney is chipping in with 11.0 points and 2.2 boards per game.
Maine owns an overall record of 2-3 on the year. The Black Bears has lost their last two games, including a 70-66 setback at Richmond on Wednesday night. Senior guard A.J. Lopez has led the team by averaging 14.8 points and 2.8 rebounds per game, while hitting 40.9 percent of his three-point field goal attempts. Senior guard Quion Burns has put up 11.4 points and 7.6 rebounds per contest, while senior guard Kellen Tynes has added 11.0 points, 4.8 boards, 2.2 assists and 2.2 steals per game.
After the contest with Maine, Holy Cross will travel to Virginia for a 4 p.m. game on Friday, Nov. 29.
