FLUSHING, N.Y. — The Holy Cross women's tennis team was defeated by Wagner 6-1 at the USTA National Tennis Center. The Crusaders fall to 1-2 on the season, while the Seahawks improve to 1-1 overall.
DOUBLES ACTION:
• Holy Cross opened the day by taking the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.

Caroline Fredey and junior
Maddie Hamm defeated Liepa Sataite and Dariana Vera 6-1.
• Senior
Caroline Carlson and senior
Ahana Nagarkatti added a 6-4 victory over Jade Schoenfeld and Paula Ysabelle Uy at No. 3.
SINGLES PLAY:
• But the Crusaders were not able to win any of the singles matches, as Wagner came back to claim the overall victory.
NEXT UP:
• Holy Cross will return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 8, when it plays host to Assumption at 3 p.m.
