BOSTON, Mass.— The Holy Cross men's track and field teams traveled to the city to partake in the Riverhawk Invitational held at the TRACK at New Balance on Saturday, Jan. 27. The Crusaders competed against over 40 other collegiate teams.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS:

• Sophomore Liam Lyons claimed fifth place in the mile run with a personal best time of 4:07.79.
• Senior Mike Mazzocca took first in the preliminary round of the 60m hurdles qualifier with a time of 7.99 and claimed fourth in the final with a time of 8.02. Junior Josh Exantus also competed in the prelims with a time of 8.47 to finish in 11th place.
• Junior Kevin Yatsuhashi came in sixth in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.99.
• Senior Chris Barone came in 15th in the preliminary round of the 60m qualifiers with a time of 7.03.
• Senior Rigoberto Alfonso finished in 12th place in the 800m with a time of 1:55.68.
• Freshman Michael Laflamme took 14th in the weight throw with a 14.71m mark.
• The men's 4x400 relay team consisting of freshman Tristan Miller, freshman Luke Boothroyd, junior Stephen Joseph and senior Matthew Conway came in 15th with a time of 3:26.12.

NEXT UP:

• The Holy Cross men's track and field teams will return to action on Saturday, Feb. 10 at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University in Boston, Mass.
