WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross junior midfielder Jake Williams has been named the Patriot League Midfielder of the Week, for competition from August 28-September 3. 

During Friday's 1-0 victory over Sacred Heart, Williams scored the only goal of the game for the Crusaders. He found the net in the 83rd minute, when he knocked home a pass from junior forward Evan Jones with his left foot from six yards out.

Over the course of his collegiate career, Williams now has 10 points on two goals and six assists in 37 games played.

Holy Cross (1-1-1 overall) returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 5, when it plays host to Bryant at 6 p.m.
