LEWISBURG, Pa. — Holy Cross women's golf team opened its season at the Bucknell Invitational held at the Bucknell Golf Course. The team finished 8th place overall with play concluding on Sunday, Sept. 10.
Sophomore Caroline Gola made her collegiate debut leading the charge for the Crusaders. She fired a 78 and 80 on the first day of two rounds. On the final day of play she shot a 78 for a 236 (+10) performance which gave her 29th place.
After three rounds of the 72-hole course, the Crusaders finished with a score of 970 (+130) as a team.

"Holy Cross Women's Golf had three players competing in their first college tournament at Bucknell," said director of golf Steve Napoli. "Yes, we have some work ahead but it was good to see Julianna Megan, Phoebe Chamian, Caroline Gola gain some valuable experience. We have a lot of work to do with our short game and course management."
