WORCESTER, Mass. – Junior Jessica Mott and senior Kari Jacobson of the Holy Cross softball team have been selected to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Team.
 
By earning Academic All-District® honors, Mott and Jacobson advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on June 6.
 
Mott, a computer science major posted a 3.64 GPA. This season, she started and played in all 52 games at the hot corner for the Crusaders setting the program record with at-bats (169). Mott paced the Crusaders in runs scored (31), and doubles (14) which is fourth in the Patriot League. She was tied for the team lead in triples (2) and home runs (3) and ranked second on the team in hits (46), RBI (17), and walks (21) which was tied for eighth in the conference.
 
Jacobson, a political science major, recorded a 3.64 GPA. She started and played in 51 games at the keystone position for Holy Cross tying for the team lead and ranking second in the Patriot League in sacrifice bunts (8). Jacobson finished second on the squad in runs (20), while setting personal-highs in at-bats (127), runs, hits (35), triples (2), RBI (4), batting average (,.276), on-base percentage (.324) and slugging percentage (.315).
