PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Holy Cross softball team fell to Providence College by a final score of 1-0 on Tuesday, Apr. 7 at Glay Field. 

Freshman pitcher Bridget Mulkeen went 6.0 innings, allowing one run on two hits. She finished her outing with a strikeout, seven walks, and left eight Friars on base. 

Freshman catcher Makenzie Crerand went 1-for-3 at the plate and threw out the first baserunner of her collegiate career in the bottom of the second inning, catching Providence's Zoe Krizan attempting to steal second.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Providence's Cameron Dunn grounded out to shortstop in the bottom of te fifth, bringing in Gabriella Lee for the game's lone run.

UP NEXT: 

• The Crusaders return home tomorrow, Wednesday, Apr. 8 to take on Dartmouth in a single game at Freshman Field.
• First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
