PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The No. 18 Holy Cross men's rowing program traveled to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on April 28-29 to face No. 14-ranked Cornell and No. 19-ranked Oregon St. in back-to-back days on the Schuylkill River.

With injury and illness taking out two members of the Varsity Eight, and two new rowers in the boat, the V8 still finished strong within eight seconds of Cornell, and just four-tenths of a second behind Oregon St.

The 2nd Varsity Eight finished 2.7 seconds behind Cornell on Friday, before topping Oregon St. by the same margin. The 3rd Varsity Eight finished second to Cornell by just under ten seconds, before defeating Oregon St. by just under four seconds.

The 4th Varsity Eight finished behind two Cornell boats on Friday, and raced to a third-place finish in the 3rd Varsity Eight race on Saturday.

No. 18 men's rowing will return home on Saturday, May 6, for New England Championships, held on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass.
