The Holy Cross women's lacrosse team hits the road this week for a trip to No. 23 Navy on Saturday, April 15 at 12 p.m.
Things to Know About the Crusaders (5-8, 2-3 PL):
• Holy Cross stands 5-8 overall this year and is in fifth place in the Patriot League with a 2-3 mark in conference play. The Crusaders are coming off an 11-10 victory over Lafayette last Saturday.
• Senior
Christine Fabrizi tied her career high with three goals in the victory over Lafayette, including the game winner with just 1:09 left in the fourth quarter. She previously scored three goals at Fairfield, while recording two goals and one assist in the win at Bryant. In 37 career games played, Fabrizi now has 39 points on 29 goals and 10 assists.
• Junior
Lauren Drillock scored five goals against No. 25 UMass, while tallying a career-high eight points on six goals and two assists in the win over Bryant. She currently leads the team in scoring with 43 points on 30 goals and 13 assists, while posting 10 multi-goal games. Over the course of her career as a Crusader, Drillock has now totaled 50 goals and 14 assists for 64 points in 31 games played.
• Senior
Henna Brennan scored three goals during the victory at Boston University, then added three more goals in the win over Lafayette. She previously scored three goals against Quinnipiac, while recording three goals and one assist against Bryant. Brennan is ranked third on the team in scoring with 23 points on 19 goals and four assists. In her collegiate career, she now has 22 goals and four assists for 26 points.
• Sophomore
Isabela Miller ranks second on the team in scoring with 25 points on 11 goals and 14 assists. During the win over Boston University, she dished out a career-best five assists. Miller previously had one goal and four assists at Bryant, while recording three goals and two assists at UMass Lowell. She now has 60 points on 39 goals and 21 assists in her career, with 10 multi-goal games.
• Senior
Jenna Giardina led the team with four points on three goals and one assist in the win over Boston University. She previously scored a career-high six goals during the Harvard game, while tallying three goals and one assist against Stonehill. On the year, Giardina is tied for fourth on the team in scoring with 17 goals and five assists for 22 points. During her Holy Cross career, she has totaled 53 points on 43 goals and 10 assists.
• Sophomore
Ella Kittredge is tied for fourth on the team in scoring with 19 goals and three assists for 22 points. She scored a career-best four goals in the win over Stonehill, after previously tallying three goals and one assist against both Bryant and Fairfield. In her career, Kittredge now has 38 points on 33 goals and five assists.
• Fabrizi and senior
Charlotte Wittstock are serving as the Crusaders' captains this season.
Scouting the Midshipmen (11-3, 5-1 PL):
• Navy has an overall record of 11-3 on the season, with a 5-1 mark in the Patriot League. The Midshipmen are currently ranked 23rd in the nation by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.
• Freshman Ava Yovino leads the team in scoring with 75 points on 32 goals and 43 assists, while sophomore Emily Messinese has added 43 points on 35 goals and eight assists.
• Sophomore Emma Richardell has started every game in goal for Navy, posting a 9.46 goals against average with 94 saves.
Series History:
• This will be the 17th all-time meeting between Holy Cross and Navy. The Midshipmen lead the series 14-2 and have won the last four games between the schools.
• Holy Cross and Navy last met on April 16, 2022, when the 24th-ranked Midshipmen posted a 13-9 victory in Worcester.
