WORCESTER, Mass. — Sophomore
Caroline Fredey posted wins in both singles and doubles action to lead the Holy Cross women's tennis team to a 7-0 victory over Assumption at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility. The Crusaders improve to 5-7 on the season with the win, while the Greyhounds fall to 5-13 overall.
In doubles action, Fredey and sophomore
Caroline Carlson topped Elizabeth McGeer and Caitlin Sze 6-3 at No. 2 to help Holy Cross claim the doubles point.
In singles play, sophomore
Ahana Nagarkatti took down Aimee Figgins 4-6, 6-1, (12-10) at No. 1, while freshman
Ashley Zilora beat Cara McCormack 6-3, 6-0 at No. 2. Sophomore
Jasmine Rahman picked up a 6-3, 6-2 win over Sze at No. 3, and Fredey defeated McGeer 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4.
Holy Cross returns to action on Thursday, April 13, when it plays host to Nichols at 4 p.m.
