Women's track and field finish weekend at URI

KINGSTON, R.I.—The Holy Cross women's track and field team competed at the Rhode Island Coaches Invitational on Friday.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS:

Sophomore Jane Feeney finished third in the shot up with a personal best mark of 12.36.
Sophomore Ella Gray set a personal best in the 60m hurdles with a 8.74 finish, claiming first. She was followed by freshman Celia Kulis who ran a personal best 8.91, taking second.
Grey later set a personal best in the 60m dash with a time of 7.86, finishing second. Senior Cymeria Robshaw crossed the finish in third place with a 8.00 mark.
Senior Kate Ashley finished second in the 400m with a time of 57.93.
Freshmen Fiona Doherty and Alex Lusby claimed personal bests in the mile, finishing second and third. Doherty finished with a time of 5:08.92, followed by Lusby at 5:09.04.
Senior Eve Feuerbach competed in the 1000m for the first time in her career and won the event with a time of 3:00.03.
Freshman Ester Mokonchu set a personal best in the weight throw with a mark of 14.72m.
Senior Annie Lineberger won the pole vault event with a mark of 3.76m.
Sophomore Abby Hughes finished third in the 800m run (2:20.91).
The 4x400 relay with junior Kiley Ronan, Lusby, sophomore Haley Murphy, and Ashley took first (4:01.25).

NEXT UP:

The Crusaders will return to action on Feb. 25 and 26 when they compete in the Patriot League Indoor Championship in Annapolis, Md.
