The Holy Cross men's basketball team returns to home this week to face Maine on Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m. The contest between the Crusaders and the Black Bears will be shown live by the Patriot League on ESPN+.
Holy Cross stands 2-5 so far this year, including a 68-67 victory at Georgetown on Nov. 11 and a 74-61 win over IUPUI on Nov. 19. Senior guard
Joe Octave leads the team with averages of 15.0 points and 5.4 rebounds per game, while hitting 51.3 percent of his field goal attempts. Junior forward
Caleb Kenney has added 9.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 0.7 blocks per contest, while senior guard
Bo Montgomery is chipping in with 8.9 points, 5.1 boards and 3.4 assists per game. Sophomore guard
Will Batchelder (8.6 points, 1.7 assists) and freshman forward
Joe Nugent (7.7 points, 4.7 rebounds) round out the Holy Cross starting lineup.
Maine stands 4-4 so far this season, and is coming off a 75-56 setback at Columbia on Saturday. Junior guard Kellen Tynes has led the team by averaging 12.9 points, 4.1 assists and 2.4 steals per contest. Junior forward A.J. Lopez (12.2 points per game), senior forward Peter Filipovity (12.0 points per game) and senior guard JaShonte Wright-McLeish (10.1 points per game) are also scoring in double figures for the Black Bears.
After the game with Maine, Holy Cross will travel to Central Connecticut for a 1 p.m. contest on Saturday, Dec. 2.
