Jasmine Rahman all won in both singles and doubles action, as the Holy Cross women's tennis team posted a 5-2 victory over Bentley at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility. The Crusaders improve to 6-11 on the season, while the Falcons fall to 5-11-1 overall.
Holy Cross opened the afternoon by sweeping the doubles matches to take an early 1-0 lead. At No. 1 doubles, senior
Maddie DeNucci and Nagarkatti posted a 6-3 victory over Adriana Hiraldo and Maria Mella. Junior
Hanna Beck and Rahman added a 6-3 win over Anna Lang and Alessa Matuly at the No. 2 spot, while Carlson and Fredey had a 6-2 victory over Rachel Holden and Remi Le Sage at No. 3.
In singles action, the Crusaders posted wins at the No. 2, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 spots to wrap up the overall match victory. Nagarkatti was leading Hiraldo 5-1 in the first set at No. 2 when her opponent retired due to injury. Carlson followed with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Alyssa Cook at No. 6, while Fredey topped Lang 6-3, 6-3 at No. 5 and Rahman defeated Le Sage 6-4, 6-1 at No. 4.
The Crusaders will return to action on Sunday, April 10, when they travel to Providence for an 11:30 a.m. match.
