Women's track and field has success at Stonehill

EASTON, Mass. — The Holy Cross women's track and field team competed at the Stonehill Skyhawk Invitational on Saturday, April 30 at W.B. Mason Stadium.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS:

Senior Jordyn Shubrick broke another school record in the hammer with a mark of 57.47m to win the event. This mark ranks her 52nd in the NCAA.
Shubrick also took first in the shot put (12.58m) and second in the discus throw (38.16m).
Junior Obiamaka Igwenagu won the triple jump with a mark of 11.95m.
Subsequently, juniors Krishiana Ramesh (10.78m) and Catryn Rhoden (10.61m) took second and third place in the triple jump.
Freshman Ella Grey won the long jump with a season's best of 5.49m.
Sophomore Lindsay Marjanski won the high jump with a season's best of 1.60m.
Senior Brianna Cummings won the 5000 meters with a time of 19:01.66.
Freshman Molly O'Connor placed first in the 100m with a time of 12.34, a season's best for the freshman.
Freshman Yoma Avbovbo took second place in the 100m with a time of 12.82.
Junior Kate Ashley won the 200m with a time of 25.55.
O'Connor also earned second in the 200m in a time of 25.61.
Senior Kelsey O'Hara placed third in the 400m dash with a time of 59.71.
Junior Eve Feuerbach crossed the finish line in second place in the 1500m in a time of 4:42.60.
Freshman Haley Murphy took second in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:05.84.
Sophomore Maura Doherty's time of 11:54.05 earned her second in the 3000m steeplechase.
The 4x100m relay team of Ashley, O'Connor, senior Ashley Thomas and Grey earned second in a time of 48.76.
The 4x400m relay team of Ashley, Thomas, senior Grace Hoelscher and O'Hara locked down third place, running a time of 4:04.75.
Sophomore Brenna McCormick placed third in the pole vault with a mark of 3.20m.
