Jasmine Rahman both won their singles matches, but the Holy Cross women's tennis team was defeated by New Haven 5-2 at the New Haven Tennis Courts. The Crusaders fall to 6-13 on the season, while the Chargers improve to 10-10 overall.
New Haven began the day by sweeping all three of the doubles matches to take the doubles point. In singles action, Rahman posted a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Nicole Mika at No. 3, while Kallas took down Gaayatri Shankar 2-6, 6-2, (10-6) at the No. 2 spot. But the Chargers won the remaining four singles matches to claim the overall victory.
Holy Cross returns to action on Thursday, April 21, when its plays Lafayette in the first round of the Patriot League Tournament in Bethlehem, Pa., at 3:00 p.m.
