WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross baseball team fell to the University of Rhode Island on Wednesday, April 13 at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Propelled by a 15-run second inning, Rhode Island jumped out to a 27-0 lead by the top of the eighth inning.
- The Crusaders got on the board in the bottom of the eighth; after freshman catcher Andrew Whinney drew a one-out walk, freshman pitcher Tyler Mudd hit a triple to center field to bring a run across for the Crusaders.
DUE UP:
- Holy Cross will host Bucknell in a three-game Patriot League series on Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17.
- The first pitch of Saturday's doubleheader is set for 1 p.m., with a single game scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sunday.
